Non-contact optical home and limit sensing

This GP1A05-style optical sensor is used in compatible printers to detect a mechanical flag without physical switch contact. An infrared emitter and detector sit across the sensing slot; interrupting the path changes the output used for a home, travel-limit, carriage-reference, or mechanism-position signal. Correct operation depends on exact alignment, flag shape, voltage, wiring, output logic, mounting, and the complete sensor suffix.
Detection
Non-contact optical path interruption
Application
Compatible home, limit, or mechanism-position sensing
Important
Exact suffix, pinout, voltage, mounting, and cable must match
It detects when a compatible flag enters or leaves the optical slot so the printer can determine a home, limit, or mechanism position.
No. It is an optical photointerrupter with no lever or button that must be pressed.
No authenticity claim should be made until markings, packaging, supplier documentation, and traceability are verified.
The quotation must state whether the selected unit is sensor-only or includes the photographed cable harness.
No. Voltage, pinout, polarity, slot, mounting, connector, and logic can differ.
Yes. Incorrect wiring or alignment may prevent homing or damage electronics.
